What are Generators? Generators are items that produce merge materials when tapped. They are the backbone of your kitchen board, providing the raw materials you need to fulfill customer orders and complete quests.
Energy Cost: Each tap costs energy (varies by generator type). Most generators use 1 energy per tap, but the Generator Booster can increase this to skip item levels and reach higher-tier items faster.
Cooldown: Generators have cooldown timers between taps. The cooldown increases each time you tap and resets gradually when you stop using the generator. Cooldowns can be skipped by spending gems or watching an ad (if eligible, and the timer is under 3 minutes).
Upgrades: Generators are upgraded by merging five of the same level to create the next level. Higher-level generators produce better items, have higher sell prices, and unlock new production chains.
Hot Sales: Some base-level generators can be purchased in the Hot Sales section for gems. These are considered rare items and are the only way to obtain certain generator types without relying on chore rewards or card packs.
Important: Unlike orderable items, generators do not have event points and cannot spawn A Coin or bubbles when merged. You can own multiple generators, but the highest-level generator of each type cannot be sold or discarded.

The Orange Generator is unique among generators because it does NOT consume energy -- it only requires time. Orange trees spawn oranges automatically, so you must leave a 3x3 grid of empty space around each tree for fruit spawns. Higher-level trees produce more oranges and higher-level orange products (Whole Oranges and Sliced Oranges), but they also have longer cooldown times. Because of the long wait times, it is useful to have multiple trees at different levels. The Orange Seeds can be purchased in Hot Sales for 45 gems or obtained through chores and Green Packs.
| Level | Name | Sell Price | Produces |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Orange Seeds (Hot Sale: 45 gems) | - | Nothing |
| 2 | Orange Sprout | - | Nothing |
| 3 | Citrus Sapling | +1 coin | Nothing |
| 4 | Potted Lil Tree | +2 coins | Nothing |
| 5 | Orange Blossoms | +3 coins | Nothing |
| 6 | Mixed Tree | +4 coins | 6 Whole Oranges (min cooldown: 1 hour) |
| 7 | Ripe Tree | +5 coins | Whole Oranges, Sliced Oranges |
| 8 | Potted Orange Tree | +6 coins | 11 Oranges and Orange Slices (min cooldown: 1 hr 50 min) |
Space Requirement: Always leave a 3x3 empty grid around each tree. If blocked, oranges will spawn on whatever free spaces are available on the board.
Multiple Trees: Keep trees at different levels to avoid accidental merges and to have varied production rates. Mixed Trees are often considered the best balance of decent output and shorter wait times.
No Energy Cost: Tapping orange generators does not use energy, making them completely free to harvest. This makes them invaluable for events and hoarding strategies.
Side quest generators are special generators tied to specific character quests. They produce unique items needed to complete each quest. The Generator Booster has no effect on side quest generators, and they cannot generate lucky items. These generators are temporary and only appear during their respective quests.
Reward: Buster (Sam's dog), +15 gems, +120 coins. Merge dogs through 10 levels from Lil Chihuahua to Bold Dalmatian.
Two merge chains: Potter's Cup to Ceramic Masterpiece (10 levels), and Fragile Bird to Perfect Panda (6 levels). Produces items randomly between the two chains.
Reward: 20 gems, 150 coins, Space Shuttle Model. Merge from Single Block through 10 levels to Space Shuttle Model.
Produces unique fish items for Olivia's Fish Quest. Generator booster does not apply.
Produces items for Carmen's Tiara Quest. Generator booster does not apply.
Upgrading generators requires merging five of the same level, which means you need a steady supply of generator parts. Here is a recommended priority order based on how frequently each generator's output is needed for customer orders:
Coffee and tea orders appear constantly throughout the game. Upgrading to at least level 5 (Regular Coffee Pot) should be your first goal so you can start producing Tea Bags alongside Empty To-Go Cups. Push for level 6 (Pour Over Set) as soon as possible to unlock To-Go Coffee and Ready To-Go Cups directly from the generator.
Bread and potato items are needed for many common orders. The Empty Brown Bag is affordable at 40 gems in Hot Sales. Focus on reaching level 6 (Heavy Basket) to unlock Raw Potatoes alongside flour and dough items, giving you a versatile production chain.
Seafood orders become more common as you progress. The 80-gem Hot Sale price is steep, but the investment pays off once you reach level 5 (Fish Net) and start generating Raw Shrimp. Higher levels unlock Fresh Fish and Bucket O'Fish, which are essential for Prepped Seafood.
Since orange trees cost no energy, they are excellent passive generators. Start with Orange Seeds from Hot Sales (45 gems) or chores, and merge up to Mixed Tree (level 6) for the best balance of output and wait time. Keep multiple trees at different levels for varied harvest schedules.
Pool items are needed less frequently than food items. The Lil' Pool Bin costs 45 gems in Hot Sales. Upgrade when you have spare generator parts, but do not prioritize over food generators unless you have pending floatie-related orders.
Seashells are primarily used for decoration events and specific customer orders. The Sea Stone costs 45 gems in Hot Sales. Upgrade gradually as you accumulate parts from chores and card packs.
1. Always 5-Merge: When merging generator parts, always merge five at once instead of 3+2. This gives you two higher-level items instead of one, dramatically speeding up the upgrade process.
2. Save Generator Booster for Events: The Generator Booster doubles your output per tap but costs more energy. Save it for merge events and Flaming Frenzy when you need mass production.
3. Don't Neglect Cooldowns: Tap generators as soon as their cooldown expires. Over time, consistent tapping yields significantly more materials than sporadic bursts.
4. Board Space Matters: Keep your staging area (below the blue chore book) clear so generator output has room to spawn. Card packs and other items can block generator spawns if the board is full.
5. Side Quest Timing: Wait for cooldown timer rewards from decoration events before tackling side quests. This prevents different quest items from clogging your board for extended periods.
