The Coffee and Tea chains in Gossip Harbor are among the most important merge chains in the entire game. They offer the best energy-to-reward ratio of any chain category, making them the top priority for both new and experienced players. The Coffee chain alone spans 14 levels, ranging from the basic Empty To-Go Cup all the way to the Sugary Tea Party at level 14. Meanwhile, the Tea chain is shorter with 7 levels, starting from a simple Tea Bag and culminating in the Exquisite Teapot.

What makes these chains especially valuable is their shared generator system. The Coffee/Tea Generator chain has 9 levels, and at level 5 (Regular Coffee Pot) and above, it produces both Empty To-Go Cups for the Coffee chain and Tea Bags for the Tea chain. This dual-output mechanic means that upgrading your generator benefits both chains simultaneously, giving you excellent efficiency for your energy investment.

Coffee items from level 8 (Barista's Choice) and above generate A Coin drops, which add an extra layer of reward on top of the normal Hot Sale gem values and sell coin bonuses. The Tea chain is shorter than the Coffee chain but still provides solid value. It consists of 7 levels, starting from the basic Tea Bag and ending with the Exquisite Teapot. The energy costs are significantly lower than the Coffee chain, with the highest item (Exquisite Teapot) costing only 64 energy compared to the Coffee chain's maximum of 8,192. This makes the Tea chain much more accessible and quicker to complete, though the rewards are proportionally smaller as well.

The Coffee/Tea Generator is the production engine for both the Coffee and Tea chains. It has 9 levels, and its output evolves as you upgrade it. The first two levels (Loose Coffee Beans and Burlap Bag of Beans) produce nothing at all, serving only as merge fodder. The Coffee Grinder at level 3 introduces a sell value of 1 but still produces no items. It is not until level 4 (Decaf Coffee Pot) that the generator begins producing actual chain items, specifically Empty To-Go Cups for the Coffee chain.

The real breakthrough comes at level 5 (Regular Coffee Pot), which produces both Empty To-Go Cups and Tea Bags, making it the first generator that supports both chains simultaneously. From level 6 (Pour Over Set) onward, the generator produces a wider variety of items including Empty To-Go Cups, To-Go Coffee, Ready To-Go Cups, and Tea Bags. The A Coin drops alone can be extremely valuable depending on what you use them for.
